We received a call from a customer with a CAT 140M2 Grader experiencing a hydrolocked engine and loaded with coolant. After several other mechanics had already condemned the engine, we stepped in to diagnose the issue properly. Upon inspection, we discovered that the problem wasn’t with the engine itself but a failed NRS cooler. After 15 hours of labor and replacing a few key parts, we had the engine running smoothly again. This project highlights the importance of accurate diagnostics, saving the customer from unnecessary engine replacements and extended downtime.
